Solving the mysteries of feline health is a complex problem, and we can't do it alone. We've enlisted the help of many corporations and organizations – all of us working to improve the lives of all cats.

Our Super Heroes

Hill's Pet Nutrition became the first MAF Super Hero for cats by pledging $1 million toward our Happy Healthy Cat Campaign. The company also donated a database of groundbreaking genomic information to us that we will make available to the very best veterinary researchers throughout the world.

A portion of the $1 million gift will be used to establish a coalition for feline genomic research that will use the genetic database to study the most serious diseases of cats, such as cancer, diabetes, kidney and bladder diseases, allergies, obesity and more. Already, MAF has pulled together an advisory group that is gathering information from the entire feline genomics research community.

Research emanating from this project should provide veterinarians with increased knowledge and capabilities to prevent and treat a wide range of cat diseases – thus eliminating suffering and premature death in our feline friends.
