Feline Behavior
Each year millions of cats are relinquished to shelters because of preventable, behavior-related problems. Sadly, thousands of these cats are euthanized each year.
Since very little research has been conducted into animal behavior, MAF established the R.K. Anderson Animal Behavior Research Endowment. We're funding research that will provide insight into feline behavior and help improve the dynamics of the human-animal bond.
Are you dealing with cat behavior problems? Don't give up. Talk with your veterinarian to make sure your cat isn't suffering from an underlying health problem that is causing the behavioral problem. If no health problem exists, consider contacting an animal behaviorist who can help identify the problem and alleviate it.
